With the health and safety of our visitors, the international roster of Mad About Jewelry artists, and staff our top priority, the Museum’s annual curated show and sale is taking place entirely online in 2020. We thank all of our supporters for their understanding and cooperation during this unprecedented time, and for their commitment to supporting MAD.
In its new virtual format, MAD About Jewelry is an ongoing celebration of more than 40 international contemporary jewelry artists. Every two weeks a select set from the MAD About Jewelry 2020 roster of artists will present their latest designs for a limited purchase period on MAD’s website. MAD About Jewelry 2020 will culminate in mid-November with a presentation of work from all of this year's artists!
Many of this year’s artists are participating in virtual events from their homes and studios around the world. The artists will introduce themselves, chat with you, and answer questions about their work.

MAD About Jewelry curated show and sale
MAD About Jewelry invites collectors and jewelry enthusiasts to meet the creators of spectacular wearable art, learn about their inspiration and processes, and take home one-of-a-kind works of contemporary jewelry. Proceeds from MAD About Jewelry benefit the Museum’s exhibitions and educational programs.
MAD’S COMMITMENT TO ART JEWELRY
MAD is the only American museum to possess a gallery dedicated to the display of both special jewelry exhibitions and the Museum’s nearly encyclopedic collection of contemporary and modern studio and art jewelry. Now on view, 45 Stories in Jewelry: 1947 to Nowhighlights the Museum of Arts and Design’s contributions to the field’s advancements and contextualizes the bold experimental practices of its most compelling artists within the key historical moments that ultimately broadened the scope and reach of art as a wearable medium.
