Ruth Leslie makes playful, sculptural jewelry. Working mainly in a variety of metals, including silver, gold, and titanium, she creates contemporary pieces that are inspired by both the subtle details within fabrics and the structural forms within textile machinery. Leslie finely twists each individual wire using an old-fashioned hand drill, then wraps the wires around frames to create tactile, refined forms—like dangling architecture. Each piece is handcrafted in her Edinburgh studio.
