A jewelry designer/maker born and based in Glasgow, Scotland, Rhona McCallum holds an MA in Jewelry and Silversmithing from Edinburgh College of Art. Inspired by geology and our changing landscapes, she creates contemporary statement pieces in silver and gold that combine rugged, natural textures with bold, sculptural forms. McCallum’s lifelong interest in drawing and painting inspires her use of forging, an ancient process that allows her to work expressively with metal, applying marks with the hammer as if she were drawing. Each piece is individually marked and therefore unique.
