Paula Giecco
Paula Giecco was born in Argentina and lived for many years in New York, São Paulo, and Sydney. She crafted her early jewelry using Bakelite pieces and Italian beads from the eighteen hundreds that she found at thrift markets in Buenos Aires and Australia. Now based in Buenos Aires, she continues to recover and transform the past through her work, in which a historical perspective, charged with artistic references, coexists with a contemporary language. Her love for colorful plastics is also present in her sculptural designs, which use acrylic resin as their primary medium, worked in detail as if it were a noble material or a precious stone.
