During this Artslab, Artist Studios resident Chang Yuchen will lead visitors in a hands-on exploration of the physical structure and metaphorical possibilities of the book form. Chang will share a brief introduction to the history of artists’ books and guide participants through variations of hidden book and 3-hole pamphlet book-binding techniques.
Artslab is a free workshop series for teens, created by teens in MAD’s Artslife Internship Program. Artslab connects alum of MAD’s Artist Studios Residency Program with a group of New York City teens. Admission is free and granted on a first-come, first-served basis.
