Join us for Art Alive, a drop-in gallery visit and art-making experience for general audiences that takes place every Saturday and Sunday. Artist-educators on the floor facilitate discussions of a single artwork or group of artworks in an exhibition and lead gallery-friendly, art-making activities focusing on sustainable and upcycled materials. Art Alive is free with museum admission and open to all ages. Discussions and activities are ongoing, so visitors can join at any time between 12 and 2 pm and stay as long as they like. The program is offered in accordance with the Museum’s safe social-distancing practices.
This Saturday, find us on Floor 5 in Craft Front & Center, where artist-eductor Alayna Wiley will facilitate a discussion of the clay works on view in the exhibitionand invite visitors to use art materials to express their ideas for a ceramic that tells a family story.
