Join us in the exhibition Craft Front & Center for Art Alive, a drop-in gallery visit and art-making experience that takes place every Saturday. Artist-educators on the floor facilitate discussions of works on view in the exhibition and lead gallery-friendly, art-making activities. Art Alive is free with museum admission and open to all ages. Discussions and activities are ongoing, so visitors can join at any time between 12 and 2 pm and stay as long as they like. The program is offered in accordance with the Museum’s safe social-distancing practices.
This Saturday, visitors will take an in-depth look at We Were Never Meant to Survive, a hand-stitched banner created by artist and filmmaker Cauleen Smith and draw their own works of activist art
Please review our health and safety protocols before you arrive. MAD strongly recommends all visitors six months and older are vaccinated against Covid-19 and visitors ages two and up wear face coverings, even if vaccinated. Thank you for your cooperation.
