Born in Trento, Italy, Selvaggia Armani studied architecture at Milan Polytechnic while she cultivated her interest in the graphic arts. She has been designing and producing textiles for the home and for casual wear since 1997, as well as belts, necklaces, brooches and tee shirts made out of fabric, wool and clay. In 2009 she began her collaboration with .exnovo and .bijouets., a pioneer in the creation of exclusive jewelry using the innovative Professional 3DPrinting technology. .bijouets introduced a new design, engineering and manufacturing concept that places extraordinary technological advances at the service of traditional craftsmanship. Due to the nature of the manufacturing process, none of the products are exactly alike—for example, colors may differ slightly because the pieces are colored by hand. Every little flaw should be considered artisan quality—because every piece is a work of art.
