For approximately 20 years, Mary Samoli has worked in cinematography, mostly as the Head of Production and later a producer, after founding her own company, Traffic S.A. Meanwhile, having a strong sense of social responsibility, she engaged in a wide range of social activities. For eight years she was a Municipal Counselor at Filothei.
Her wanderings in art began in 1998, when she decided to experiment with the concept of recycling. Making use of worthless, precious or semi-precious, but always signifying objects, she created wreaths that were made out of “forgotten” objects. She continued to explore the use of a variety of materials like sand, clay, wood, pearls and sea glass. She is inspired by ancient Greek culture. This specifically influences her current work, including a silver jewelry collection.
