Chiara Scarpitti
Chiara Scarpitti is a designer who specializes in contemporary jewelry and has a PhD in Design and Innovation from Second University of Studies of Naples with a research thesis about the practice of making as a speculative research for Design. Her work focuses on different aspects of the contemporary, hybridizing the technology with a humanistic approach and using the most innovative production techniques between advanced industry and high craft.
She has won many contemporary jewelry awards like “Preziosa Young” in Florence, “The best of Bjoux” in Milan, “Cominelli Fondation” in Salò, “Enjoa’t” at JOYA in Barcelona, “IJA Italian Jewellery Award” in Naples, and others. Scarpitti has participated in exhibitions throughout Europe, Mexico, Australia, the Middle East and the US. She has had solo exhibitions at the International Forum of Culture in Naples, the Plart Design Foundation in Naples, the Verrengia Gallery in Salerno and abroad Italy, at the Expo Arte Gallery in Oslo, and the Beeld&Aambeeld Galerie in Netherland. Scarpitti is based in Naples, Italy.
