Argentinian jeweler Maria Carelli lives and works in Buenos Aires, Argentina. After spending several years as a clinical psychologist, she began her studies in jewelry design with Master Jorge Castañón in his workshop. At the same time, she studied drawing in the atelier of Carlos Fels. In 2013, she joined the workshop of her mentor, Laura Messing. Carelli is now exclusively dedicated to contemporary jewelry, both creating and teaching this art. Her work is characterized by experimentation, as she explores the possibilities for transforming various materials. She finds her inspiration in nature, and creates her pieces from organic forms, or even organic materials such as fish scales.
