Karen Konzuk creates jewelry that is wearable architecture. Konzuk earned a BFA from Nova Scotia College of Art and Design with a major in jewelry design, and introduced the KONZUK line shortly after graduation. Although her formal education focused on working with traditional precious metals, she defied mainstream expectations and began to experiment with stainless steel. This unorthodox material challenged her as much as it inspired her, for she had to retrain herself in the tools and methods required to work with it effectively. Through trial and error, Konzuk persevered, and her diligence resulted in a collection of pieces that reflect her keen interest in industrial design and architecture. Through a studied use of clean lines and an unwavering commitment to a minimalist aesthetic, she has evolved KONZUK into a renowned line of modern jewelry for the contemporary man and woman.
