Slawa Tchórzewska
Slawa Tchórzewska (Poland) graduated from the Władysław Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts, where she specialized in fashion and jewelry design. Her practice is guided by intuition, extensive experience, and constant experimentation, favoring spontaneous creation over preparatory sketches. Each work develops organically, shaped by imagination and an unstructured, fluid process.
Tchórzewska employs nonwoven fabrics built into sculptural forms combined with resin, resulting in works that are remarkably lightweight and often surprising in their scale and delicacy. Every piece is repeatedly hand-painted, carefully layered, and sealed, creating depth, durability, and a luminous surface quality.
She describes her work as the creation of a metaphysical world infused with nature and fairy-tale imagery, embracing the persona of an “interdimensional fairytale wizard of art.” Her work has been presented internationally, including Contemporania (Barcelona, 2025),“Instant and Eternity” at the National Museum in Tianjin (2024), AUTOR Jewelry Fair (Bucharest, 2024), exhibitions in Rome, and the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum (2022).
