Raluca Buzura
Raluca Buzura (Romania) is based in Spain since 2016. She graduated from the University of Art and Design in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, in 2007 and completed a master’s degree in ceramics in 2009. Her practice centers on contemporary jewelry as an autonomous artistic medium, moving beyond traditional definitions rooted in ornament or material value.
Working primarily with porcelain, Buzura investigates its irreversible transformation through fire, embracing themes of permanence, fragility, and tension. Inspired by nature and emotional states, she integrates diverse artistic disciplines to create works that are at once monumental and intimate, transforming raw material into small-scale sculptural installations.
With more than sixteen years of experience in ceramic jewelry, Buzura has exhibited internationally across Europe and overseas, including presentations in New York, Chicago, Florida, and Tokyo. She has collaborated with the Spanish porcelain brand Lladró, and her work has been featured in publications such as Vogue Japan and New Necklaces.
