Eunhee Cho
Eunhee Cho (Korea) is a contemporary jewelry artist based in Seoul, South Korea. Her practice centers on a rigorous exploration of traditional Korean craft techniques and materials, reinterpreted through an experimental, contemporary lens. Working primarily with hanji (traditional Korean paper), she revisits the historic jiseung technique twisting and weaving paper cords to construct poetic, sculptural forms that balance fragility and strength.
Raised among antique furniture, old books, and vernacular objects, Cho absorbed the restrained aesthetics and quiet dignity of Korean heritage. These early impressions continue to inform her sensitivity to material, time, and process. Rather than replicate tradition, she engages its wisdom as a living language, translating it into a distinctly personal vocabulary.
Cho transforms hanji into jewelry that is supple yet resilient, delicate yet enduring. In 2025, she received the Homo Faber Award, a Partner Prize of the Cheongju International Craft Competition. Her work is exhibited internationally.
