Zine-Making with Tamara Santibañez

Thu, Apr 11 / 6–8 pm

Inspired by the exhibition Too Fast to Live, Too Young to Die: Punk Graphics, 1976—1986, MAD Artist Fellow Tamara Santibañez leads an evening of zine-making. Participants will produce their own booklets by cutting, ripping, and pasting found texts and visuals, and inserting writings, drawings, and images.

Short for magazine or fanzine, zines are small-circulation, self-published works of original or appropriated texts and images, typically reproduced via photocopier. A variety of texts, photos, magazines, paper, and postcards will be provided for workshop participants to use. Visitors are also invited to bring their own zine-making materials from home.

Please review our health and safety protocols before you arrive. MAD strongly recommends all visitors six months and older are vaccinated against Covid-19 and visitors ages two and up wear face coverings, even if vaccinated. Thank you for your cooperation.
