BYOG! Inspired by the exhibition Garmenting: Costume as Contemporary Art, a Studio Sunday workshop for learning how to mend or modify a garment. Bring a piece of clothing and learn to:
Mend holes
Add pockets or other functional flairs
Embellish with patches, hand-drawn artwork, or embroidery
Hem and adjust the fit
Deconstruct or reconstruct
Don’t have a garment to work on, that’s ok? We’ll have donated items and spare pieces of fabric so all can learn!
Studio Sunday is an art-making program for visitors ages five and up. Timed tickets to the Museum are recommended and tickets for Studio Sunday are required. Space is limited.
