Making Jewelry from Memories

Sat, Jul 13 / 1–3 pm

Explore the role of memory and nostalgia in jewelry and make your own form of personal adornment in this studio workshop presented in conjunction with Non-Stick Nostalgia: Y2K Retrofuturism in Contemporary Jewelry and led by MAD Artist Studios alumnus Brice Garrett. Participants are encouraged to bring items from home (such as toys, figurines, souvenirs, etc.), which they will use to learn mold-making techniques that give objects a new life in the form of personalized pendants. Needed materials will be provided and no prior jewelry-making experience is required.
