Former Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company member and dance educator Leah Cox joins duo Jesse Zaritt and Katie Swords for an evening exploring how the tension between two influences can be a fertile ground in which to create dance. Building from the research of utilizing improvisation as a tool to discover the connections between body and psyche, Leah Cox presents a fresh and fascinating work. Zaritt and Swords stage a work that uses the process of disorientation, and the resulting re-orientation, to discover new territories for movement and dance. These works survey a range of process that investigate and expand the vocabulary of movement in dance today.
