In celebration of New York City Jewelry Week, join MAD senior curator Barbara Paris Gifford for an in-depth look at jewelry at MAD and learn about the myriad possibilities of contemporary jewelry as an art form. Gifford will give visitors a walkthrough of Douriean Fletcher: Jewelry of the Afrofuture, dedicated to the designer whose handmade adornments have shaped the memorable aesthetics of Marvel Studios’ Black Panther film franchise and other cinema standouts.
The tour is free with Museum admission. Advance registration is recommended.
