ABOUT THE ARTIST
Sarah Davidson is a visual artist based in New York. They work primarily between drawing and painting and have used dye techniques to extend their painting practice into soft sculptures and clothing. Their art draws on their experience as a wilderness guide to explore nature through a queer ecological lens. Their paintings combine colorful biomorphic shapes with scientific illustration, confusing boundaries between abstract bodily forms and recognizable flora and fauna. They have exhibited their work widely in the United States and Canada (where they’re from).
