Constructed Images: The Intersection of Sculpture & Photography

Sat, Sep 17, 2011

As boundaries between artistic practices continue to erode, new relationships between fields that have been historically separated are being forged. Organized in conjunction with MAD’s exhibition Otherworldly: Optical Delusions and Small Realities, join Otherworldly artists Oliver Herring, Lori Nix and Thomas Doyle along with writers/critics  Shelley Rice and Edward M. Gómez to discuss the unusual and provocative merger of two dimensional photography with 3 dimensional sculpture. The discussion will be moderated by Barbara A. MacAdam, deputy editor of ARTnews Magazine. The discussion will be followed by a reception.

Presented in partnership with The International Sculpture Center and Sculpture Magazine.
