Glass is an amorphous material. It can be hot or cold. Liquid or solid. Active or static. It comes alive under fire and can be shaped by human breath. In the early 1960s, glass emerged as a material for artistic expression. Marvin Lipofsky was one of the earliest leaders of what became the studio glass movement, bringing an experimental and fearless mindset to the discovery of the creative breadth of glass.
