Exploring themes of cultural identity expressed by hairstyles, the Museum of Arts and Design will transform its Artist Studios into a free, working salon for three evenings in February 2015.
Each evening artists, hairstylists, academics and others will gather to demonstrate a variety of techniques for manipulating hair and explore how these expressive styles reflect cultural identity and artistic expression.
The Salon: Hair in Art and Design is organized by Jake Yuzna, Director of Public Programs and Nakeisha Gumbs, Manager of School and Teacher Programs
