Silke Knetsch & Christian Streit met after finishing their respective training as goldsmiths. They think of themselves as alchemists of design rather than jewelry makers; from their workshop in Freiburg, Germany, they continuously explore the boundaries and possibilities of their work. With “Materia Prima,” they focused on porcelain painting, interpreting the highly complex technique in a contemporary form and modern design language without negating its tradition and rich history. Committed to sustainable entrepreneurship, they work with certified fair-trade gold and silver, as well as with certified recycled silver, and all pieces are manufactured in their workshop.
