Spanish designer Patricia Álvarez makes jewelry informed by her background in music and fashion and her love of travel. She tells her story through strong, poetic, and very personal pieces made of fine metals and natural stones, carefully chosen both to add color and to complete the message of the work. With “Uncloudy,” Álvarez seeks to communicate her creative world through jewels. The series evokes the contrasts, textures, and sinuosity of the American desert, transporting the viewer to an oasis that is at once exotic and familiar, and paying tribute to that apparent stillness which conceals a fullness of movement and life.
