Amsterdam-based jewelry designer Jacomijn van der Donk strikes a balance between regularity and organic randomness that results in arrestingly unique pieces. She uses natural materials, including leather, goat hair, twigs, silver and gold, to produce indigenous-looking ornaments of exceptional craftsmanship and detail. Her instinctive play with natural materials invites nature to flow into her work in unexpected ways. Every item is handmade and therefore unique. Through her designs she hopes to bring nature back into the city and everyday life, to remind us of where we come from and what we need.
