Born in Reykjavík, Hlín Reykdal majored in Fashion Design at the Iceland Academy of Arts. In 2010, she drew on her passion for fine art and design to launch her accessories brand. Together with her husband, a civil engineer, she creates handmade pieces, which they produce at their Reykjavík studio using high-quality materials. Each bead is hand-painted and threaded with great attention to detail. Reykdal’s approach to the product is deeply influenced by her upbringing as a daughter of two artists. She challenges herself to use daring and provocative color combinations, which in turn deliver a directional and unique outcome. She is known for her extraordinary eye for color and stylish combinations while maintaining an impeccable standard of production.
