Korea-based artist Arang Kim creates fantastical jewelry that combines disparate symbols, like wings and horns, into a single shape. The recipient of an MFA in Metalwork and Jewelry from the Graduate School of Kookmin University, in Seoul, Kim works with materials ranging from sterling silver and pearl to concrete. The incorporation of broken or unfinished objects sparks curiosity and encourages interpretation on the part of the viewer and the wearer.
