Anastasia Su & Martin Lesjak
ANASTASIJA SUGIC, known as Anastasia Su, is the Creative Director and Co-Founder of 13&9 Design, an interdisciplinary design firm that develops products across multiple categories made by local suppliers, artisans and craftspeople. 13&9 also designs products for international companies such as Mohawk Group, XAL, VITEO Outdoors, and Artifort Lande Group.
Born in Bosnia and educated in Graz, Austria, Su resides and runs her company from Graz, recently titled a UNESCO Design City. Her diverse background, with a medical degree and fashion expertise as a designer ANASTASIA SU, gives her a unique perspective and enhances her team’s interdisciplinary process. In addition to her role as Creative Director of 13&9, Su also consults for INNOCAD Architecture. Her expertise in strategy, trends and building partnerships has brought new energy to the INNOCAD team and 13&9 international acclaim. Su travels the globe representing 13&9 and Graz, City of Design at international UNESCO programs in Europe, Asia and the US.
MARTIN LESJAK is the CEO and Creative Director of the Austrian-based INNOCAD Architecture and co-founder 13&9 Design.
The visionary behind INNOCAD, Lesjak’s foresight and expertise in architecture, design, and craft and an affinity for art has led the award-winning firm in innovative directions globally. Together with INNOCAD’s partners, Lesjak has overseen residential, office, hospitality, healthcare, mixed-use retail, and interiors projects. Recently, INNOCAD received accolades for its design of the Microsoft Headquarters in Vienna. INNOCAD has earned a global following with projects in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Italy, Vienna, New York City, and locally in Graz, Austria.
Lesjak is also a recognized educator and thought leader. He is a frequent lecturer at regional universities and speaks around the world representing INNOCAD, 13&9, and his home city of Graz as a UNESCO City of Design. Lesjak communicates the creative and economic effects of the interdisciplinary approach at a regional and international level.
In addition to his numerous international awards, Lesjak was most recently named the 2015 Designer of the Year by Contract Magazine.
