Sara Ortuzar
Born in Bilbao and now based in Gorliz, Spain, Sara Ortuzar originally studied fine arts, specializing in sculpture. Her interest in the body as a support led her to the field of contemporary jewelry. The choice of materials is central to her process, with a focus on characteristics such as lightness and sustainability, to generate minimal waste during production. Ortuzar’s current work developed out of experimentation with 3D printing and the bioplastic PLA, with the aim of capturing ideas and sensations awakened by events in nature. Her jewelry invites the wearer to see their own complexity reflected in natural phenomena.
