Maria Blondet is a jewelry designer born and based in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Inspired by the exuberant Caribbean landscape, she juxtaposes design and form to extract rhythm from precious metals like Argentium silver 935 and 22-karat gold overlay, creating miniature wearable sculptures suitable for any occasion. She plays with positive and negative spaces, finishes, colors, and textures to create one-of-a-kind handmade pieces that are versatile, combinable, and adjustable. Rooted in craftsmanship and functionality, her pieces are designed for grace and comfort. She sees the wearers of her jewelry as collaborators, as pieces are completed once they are worn.
