Lindsey Mann
Based in Salisbury, United Kingdom, Lindsey Mann creates playful jewelry with a soft industrial aesthetic and a hint of modern nostalgia. Her love of color and print has continually remained at the forefront of her work, evoking moods or emotions and bringing joy to those who wear her jewelry. Her current line of jewelry with botanical influences stemmed initially from a bundle of gardening diaries she found in her house, left by a long-gone previous resident. She says, “In my mind I have built up a picture of his garden from a bygone era and parts of that picture are slowly emerging as pieces of jewelry.” Mann works predominantly with anodized aluminum sheet. Focusing on low-tech processes and traditional metalwork techniques, she uses the metal as a canvas for her vibrant screenprints, before combining them with silver and the occasional stone to form wearable compositions.
