Laura Fortune
Laura Fortune uses cloisonné to craft colorful, playfully modern jewelry with humor and elegance. Cloisonné enamel as a surface embellishment on metal is an ancient craft, and Fortune subverts the traditional application by using only opaque enamels alongside her illustrative and whimsical line drawings. Her vibrant scenes, subjects, and patterns reflect a cartoonish Americana aesthetic. Born in the Florida Panhandle, she crafts each of her signature designs from her studio on the East End of Long Island, New York.
