Elvira Cibotti
Elvira Cibotti (Argentina) is a contemporary jewelry artist whose practice evolves from a foundation in clay sculpture. In 2007 she expanded into jewelry, modeling in wax for metal casting before turning to recycled paper as her primary material. Hand-building each layer, she engineers structure and color with meticulous precision, transforming paper into forms that replicate the hardness and durability of wood while retaining lightness and softness. The result is a body of work that is materially innovative and conceptually grounded.
Each piece is unique, articulating Cibotti’s perspective on the realities that surround us and our interactions within them. Her jewelry has been exhibited widely across Europe and the Americas and is held in collections including the Ilias Lalaounis Jewelry Museum in Athens and Espace Solidor in France. Her work has received awards at Romanian Jewelry Week, the Legnica Silver Festival, Fondazione Cominelli, and the 2nd Latin American Biennial of Contemporary Jewelry, among others.
