People who are blind or have low vision are invited to join us online for a virtual verbal description tour of Jessica Lichtenstein: Rewilding.
Jessica Lichtenstein: Rewilding transforms the Museum’s third-floor gallery into a lush, overgrown landscape filled with forests, ruins, flowering canopies, and thousands of digitally rendered figures. Through large-scale installation, painting, sculpture, and video, Lichtenstein creates vibrant, fantastical environments that reimagine nature and the female form.
Drawing on the concept of “rewilding” in conservation ecology, the exhibition explores themes of freedom, autonomy, and collective experience. Lichtenstein combines opulent materials with digital technology to create immersive worlds that challenge traditional representations of the female body and invite visitors to consider new possibilities for nature, identity, and liberation.
Space for student observers or professional colleagues is limited. Please email education@madmuseum.org with inquiries.
