In this satirical look at mundane America, David Byrne of the Talking Heads leads the audience through the fictional town of Virgil, Texas. Along the way, Byrne captures vignettes of the town’s eccentric residents as they prepare for a local talent show.
MAD artist-in-residence, Kat Ryals, joins this screening to introduce the film and share how it has served as an inspiration to her own practice.
