We invite you to join us for a Studio Visit with the celebrated painter and photographer Marilyn Minter. Minter will be joined by Elissa Auther, MAD’s Windgate Research Curator and co-curator of Marilyn Minter: Pretty/Dirty, the artist’s traveling retrospective that has just opened. As MAD heralds an exhibition dedicated to women pioneers in art, craft and design this spring, we are thrilled to visit with Minter, also a trailblazing artist for her monumental and provocative paintings, photographs, and videos that examine our culture’s obsession with glamour and feminine beauty. Minter’s work featured largely in MAD’s NYC Makers last year, and included several enamel on panel works with her collaborative wallpaper design for Maharam.
