Join designers Reid Bartelme and Harriet Jung in MAD’s Artist Studios as they create their newest dance costume. Sought-after designers for everything ranging from avant-garde performances to traditional ballets, Bartelme and Jung have made a name for themselves by merging simple, elegant forms with innovative approaches to construction and usability.

During the course of this open studio, visitors may drop in and learn from the designers firsthand as they construct their newest commission for MAD’s performance series Making a Scene: Objects for Performance. Witness this duo’s construction of a garment that supports the dancer, as well as a myriad of objects, to create a new take on the propping up of dance.
