MADmakes: Tapestry Weaving

Thu, Mar 12 / 6–8 pm

Postponed

Craft a cardboard loom, illustrate a custom design, and weave your own tapestry with MAD Artist Studios resident Dance Doyle.

Inspired by Doyle’s weaving practice, visitors will weave unconventional materials such as feathers and upcycled objects into their tapestries. All materials will be provided and participants are encouraged to bring their own found objects from home to include in their weavings.

On the second Thursday of every month, artists-in-residence in the Museum’s Artist Studios lead free drop-in workshops for visitors of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels.

Please review our health and safety protocols before you arrive. MAD strongly recommends all visitors six months and older are vaccinated against Covid-19 and visitors ages two and up wear face coverings, even if vaccinated. Thank you for your cooperation.
