Mariana Garibay Raeke

Explore mold-making with artist-in-residence Mariana Garibay Raeke. Visitors will cast an array of shapes in clay using a selection of commercial molds and handmade molds fashioned out of common household materials such as paper cups. Visitors will then cut their cast clay pieces apart and combine them to create unique objects, while discussing with the artist her own work using modifiable molds. Working in teams is highly encouraged!

MADmakes is a drop-in, hands-on series where visitors can test their skills at art making and creative production. Led by current artists-in-residence, MADmakes offers visitors the opportunity to better understand and appreciate the workmanship that goes into contemporary studio practice today.

Please review our health and safety protocols before you arrive. MAD strongly recommends all visitors six months and older are vaccinated against Covid-19 and visitors ages two and up wear face coverings, even if vaccinated. Thank you for your cooperation.
