MAD at Home with New York’s Top Designers and Creatives

This fall, MAD Members are invited to tour the private homes and studios of celebrated New York designers, artists, and collectors. MAD Members will be personally welcomed by the homeowner and each distinguished residence is a memorable showcase of museum-worthy art and sophisticated design. Be inspired in an environment where every element has been meticulously chosen to reflect the homeowner's personality and create a truly creative dwelling.

Each tour is $50 per person. Refreshments will be served.

Hunt Slonem’s Studio

The Hell’s Kitchen studio of artist and designer Hunt Slonem is filled with his artworks, a collection of Victoriana, and pet parrots. It’s a hoot and the irrepressible artist always entertains.

Stephanie Stokes’s Park Avenue Apartment
Wed, Oct 8 / 4 pm

The home of Interior designer Stephanie Stokes combines modern objects and family heirlooms with aplomb.  A former international photojournalist, art historian, and Wall Street investment banker, Stephanie combines a thoughtful approach to architecture, proportion, practicality, and color. 

Tiffany Dubins’s Upper East Side Apartment

A leading expert on artist-made jewelry, Tiffany Dubin planned the first couture auctions at Sotheby’s. Her apartment is a showcase for her collection of Important furniture designers and fine artists of the 20th and 21st centuries.

Jacqueline Weld Drake’s Park Avenue Apartment

The home of novelist, biographer, and prominent philanthropist Jacqueline Weld Drake is filled with her Important art, antiques, and a significant collection of original paintings and drawings by late 19th- and early 20th- century magazine illustrations, with examples by luminous figures of the genre, including James Montgomery Flagg, John Tenniel, Charles Dana Gibson, J.C. Leyendecker, and many more.

Painter Scott Houston McBee’s Upper West Side Pied à Terre 
Wed,  Nov 5 / 4 pm

The charming decorator James Andrews shows the elegant pied à terre of the painter Scott Houston McBee whose fascination with great ships incudes his own nautical pictures as well as a collection of model ships.
