Join MAD Artist Studios Fellow Shradha Kochhar for a hands-on workshop delving into the art of tapestry weaving. Discover how to set up a loom and weave with yarn, fiber, and ribbons to craft your own abstract "thread drawings." Perfect for all skill levels, this workshop encourages explorations of vibrant textures, creative techniques, and meaningful personal touches.

All materials will be provided. To further personalize your tapestry, consider bringing items such as wire, twine, yarn, plastics, old clothing, paper, film, or even cassette tape (materials should be no wider than ½ inch) to add to your weaving.

Family Studio is a collaborative workshop for children five and up and their caregivers to learn, explore, and create together. Admission for children 12 and under is free and children must be attended by a caregiver. Tickets for adults are required and include admission to the Museum. Space is limited.
