Bill Sofield: Conversation with a Design Legend

Thu, Apr 30 / 6–7:30 pm

Bill Sofield

Join MAD for an illuminating evening with visionary architectural designer Bill Sofield and design historian Daniella Ohad. The conversation will focus on Studio Sofield’s influential blending of architecture and interiors: introducing artisanal handwork to architecture, crafting the ultimate elegance, and designing the interiors for the much anticipated conversion of New York’s landmark Flatiron Building into private residences.

The evening celebrates the recently released firm monograph Studio Sofield Works, which details a four-decade visual journey through historically significant buildings along with contemporary masterpieces, and on passion, transformation, and on the power of the detail. Copies of the book will be available for purchase.
