Join us for Art Alive, a drop-in, artist-led maker experience for intergenerational audiences. The program will draw inspiration from the exhibition Garmenting: Costume as Contemporary Artand will be led by Enoch Cheng, a multidisciplinary artist whose performance video Handle with Care is on view in the exhibition. Cheng will teach participants a basic stitch to use with fabric scraps to explore fashion, abstraction, color, and texture. Participants are encouraged to bring a plain t-shirt to alter and embellish during the program. Discussions and activities are ongoing so visitors can join at any time. Art Alive is free with admission to MAD.
