The daughter of an American diamond merchant, Barbara Berger began her collection of some 4,000 bijoux de couture when she purchased a pair of Chanel earrings at a French flea market as a teenager, then went on to assemble one of the largest and finest collections of couture jewelry in the world. This video tells her story, and the larger story of fashion jewelry as an art form and form of expression, through the voices of designers and experts. Presented in conjunction with "Fashion Jewelry: The Collection of Barbara Berger," co-produced with Zadrian Smith.
