Ornella Aprosio
Ornella Aprosio opened her glass and crystal beads workshop, Aprosio & Co., in Florence in 1993. Born in Rome, she made her début in the fashion world when she was very young as an assistant editor at Vogue.
During a period of freelance work in remodelling and decoration of antique clothes of the twenties, she fell in love with the fascinating world of glass beads. Being ahead of her time, she studied their significance and application, leading to the launch of her collection of fashion accessories, based on the exclusive use of glass and crystal beads.
Aprosio & Co has worked with many famous names in the fashion world, such as Valentino, Fendi, and Christian Lacroix. Aprosio’s work is in the permanent collection at the Museo degli Argenti in Pitti Palace, Florence.
