Niklas Ejve
Now an established Swedish jeweler and silversmith with a workshop in Stockholm and a summer workshop and store on the island of Gotland, Niklas Ejve has an unusual background: he studied oboe at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo before working for many years as an art director and property master in the Swedish film industry. In the mid-1990s he discovered jewelry, fell in love with the materials, and taught himself the craft. Ejve’s main sources of inspiration are the laws of mathematics and the rhythm of music, which often guide him towards geometric shapes and symmetrical patterns. He enjoys contrasts: light and dark, silver and muted stone. His jewelry both catches and seals the light, reflecting the environment and highlighting the personality of the wearer.
