Born in Scotland, Jacqueline Clarke worked as a food stylist and writer before a jewelry design course at Edinburgh College of Art inspired a change of career. Her work reflects her fascination with the shapes and forms found in nature. As a child, living near the sea and the countryside, she collected pebbles, twigs, shells, seedpods, and other natural treasures, and her designs are stylized impressions from these memories. Her work is cast in silver, from original pieces she makes in resin. She also works with glass, embedding tiny glass spheres in vibrant colors into resin to create textural pieces that catch the light in an intriguing manner. Clarke works solely from her studio in Chiswick, West London, producing small collections.
