A Helsinki-based jewelry artist and designer, Inni Pärnänen graduated as a goldsmith from the Lahti Institute of Design and completed her Master’s degree at the University of Art and Design Helsinki. She has been designing under her own name since the end of the 1990s. The characteristic features in her works are three-dimensional structures created from simple geometric shapes, with complex interiors and innovative choices of materials. She often takes inspiration from the stackability, intertwining, and strength and functionality of anticlastic and honeycomb-like structures. Pärnänen also works in other realms of design, including jewelry packaging and fashion design. In 2017 she received a five-year grant from the Arts Council of Finland.
